Unlike wet wipes designed for adults, high-quality baby wipes are typically manufactured using food-grade spunlace non-woven fabric. They contain absolutely no alcohol, artificial fragrances, or potential allergens such as formaldehyde, perfumes, bleaching agents, malonic acid, or fluoride. Since alcohol can irritate a baby's delicate skin and fragrances may cause discomfort, the primary ingredient in baby wipes is typically pure water-ranging from ultra-pure water to deionized water-specifically, multi-purified EDI (Electrodeionization) water, to ensure safety and hygiene.
High-quality baby wipes feature a slightly acidic pH level (typically between 5.5 and 5.8) to align with the natural acidic environment of a baby's skin and minimize disruption to the skin's protective lipid barrier. Furthermore, they contain no additives such as fluorescent agents. Additionally, to ensure safety, the use of high-risk preservatives-such as Methylisothiazolinone-should be avoided. As product development continues to advance, some baby wipes now incorporate botanical extracts-such as aloe vera, chamomile, and calendula-to enhance their skin-nourishing benefits.
